Hallucination

Fisher Collection, Collection of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. The work consists of a large rear projection video monitor and a camera pointed at the viewer. The image is presented live onto the screen creating a mirror-like effect. Custom electronics process the live image of the viewers such that the “mirror” sets the viewer on fire, and also puts a virtual woman in the reflection. Sometimes this woman observes the viewer passively and at other times her actions affect the virtual space.
