Permanent Public art work commissioned by the University of California, San Francisco. This work is installed at the University of California, San Francisco. The work consists of a low resolution LED display that is contained within a freestanding six-by-six-foot glass wall. The display is set in the eastern end of an outdoor courtyard. The moving images are of waves in the Pacific Ocean, which were photographed from a point directly west of the display, creating a mirror image. Seven glass cubes are scattered within the garden area around the display. These glass cubes also have LEDs in them and are each synchronized to a different block of the display grid. The movement within and between these scattered glass cubes create the effect of the ocean waves going beyond the display grid into the garden area.
